To start bike commuting you need a bike. and I would recommend some semblance of health and a distance of under 7 miles to start with.
I have regularly commuted up to 14 each way but that was on the far end of comfort.
It takes me about a week of riding it everyday to get used to a longer route. If you haven’t biked before you may get some ass chafing for a bit but that’ll dissapear the more you ride.
Really just getting into it once a week will help you get used to riding regularly.
And it’s a sustainable way to save money and love the earth.
